Mission #14 – Sept 21, 2018

It's Day 14 of the 2018 Compassion Games!

Today's mission is designed to provide you time to pause and self-reflect. See today's action as an act of mindful engagement into the wonder of your own life.

To begin, as early in the day as you can, choose a small object you have that represents an important part of you. This may be something on a shelf or in a drawer. Maybe you've packed it away. Wherever it is, pick it up and hold it in your hands. Turn it over and look at it. Remind yourself how you acquired it. As you do this, try to keep judgments from interfering with what you're doing. Accept the experience as being exactly what it needs to be.

Next, set your chosen object in a new place, a prominent spot that will cause you to see it today and at least for the next few days. Each time you see it, take a minute to pause and consider its importance to you. Use this pause to take a deep cleansing breath.

Through this consideration, allow an idea for a kind action to blossom, be it one for you or someone else. Before the day is out, either plan or complete the act in the way it is meant to be done.

Lastly, take time to either write about your experience or share it with a trusted friend. And help us increase the ripples of positivity generated by your action by reporting your activity on the Compassion Map.
